Each year Olney Theatre Center receives subsidy from the Maryland State Department of Education to bring quality live performances and workshops to students across the state at a significantly reduced rate. We are once again thrilled to offer these National Players performances and workshops to you and your students.
Bring the excitement of live theater to your school with our touring productions of Much Ado About Nothing and William Golding’s Lord of the Flies (2009-2010). Each performance is just 90 minutes and includes a study guide and post-show discussion with the actors. National Players comes fully-equipped with their own set, lights, costumes, and sound. All we require is a performance space and electrical hook-ups.
Unable to host a performance? We also offer a variety of theatre workshops: PowerPlay (an interactive playwriting workshop), Acting Shakespeare Acting and Improvisation, and Stage Combat. Workshops last approximately 45 minutes, but can be adapted to fit in to your school’s schedule. A limited number of FREE workshops are available each semester.
